A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHIEF COMMONS DIRECTOR

Hello CultureWorks Members and Staff,

I hope you are all doing well under the circumstances.

Today, I am grateful that we are a community by choice. While we may not be able to gather in person, we can gather virtually through our mutual connection to CultureWorks.

As the new Chief Commons Director, I hoped to meet each member under different circumstances to learn more about you and to learn about the work that has captured your talent and time.

I pictured meeting you in a subdued gathering. Now I am reimagining recess in grade school, that time when we were finally able to go outside bursting with energy to play games, run around, laugh with friends, and make new ones.

Until recess, CultureWorks will continue to be a resource for you, albeit a virtual one. The CultureWorks Staff is re-examining our operations to determine how we can minimize face-to-face interactions yet remain readily available through online resources. We will email relevant information and post relevant information on our websites. We are also planning to have a little fun, too.

Because we are a diverse, caring community, CultureWorks will provide a forum for members and staff to stay in touch by sharing thoughts, ideas, and needs. Please keep in mind that everyone’s wallet is likely to get slimmer, but we all may have other resources we can share.

Have confidence that CultureWorks is advocating for you wherever we can.

Warmly,
Gabrielle

PHILADELPHIA BUILDING TEMPORARILY CLOSING

While we hoped to remain open for members to use the space as you need, Governor Tom Wolf has ordered all non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania to close physical locations to slow  the coronavirus spread.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
Members, if you have any belongings you would like to collect, please do so by midnight tonight. Our Chief Commons Director, Gabrielle will be in the space for the majority of the day, but you're free to collect your things at anytime today.

Because this is an evolving situation we don't have a timeline for when the building will reopen. As soon as we hear something, we will notify you. Thank you for your patience + flexibility, we will get through this together!

WHAT IF I HAVE IMPORTANT MAIL/PACKAGES
TRACK 1 (Space): If you wish to receive your mail in the interim we suggest setting up a forwarding address with the postoffice. Hopefully, we won't need to utilize this for long, but if you have time-sensitive mail you may want to consider this option.

TRACK 2 (Fiscal Sponsorship): No need to set-up a forwarding address, we are setting up a P.O. Box to make sure we stay on top of your checks and important documents. Also, keep an eye out for a Project Director email from Beth Warshaw coming later today with more details.

As for packages, please have them sent directly to you while the building is closed.
