Wilfredo Hernandez

We are pleased to announce a familiar face, Wilfredo Hernandez has been appointed Interim Executive Director of CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia.

Most recently, Wilfredo oversaw the Transition Advisory Group (TAG), an internal review of issues related to executive leadership, board governance, business model, space and partnerships/affiliations. TAG  presented its findings and recommendations to the full board and staff to begin the process of implementing a plan that guides the organization over the next six to 12 months.

Board President, Michael Norris stated: "Wilfredo's deep knowledge of the organization, both as a former staff member and as facilitator of our recent transitional assessment, makes him the ideal person to take on this interim role at this time. The board is excited to work with him as we continue to define and build the future of CultureWorks."

Wilfredo is the Founder of Communitas Arts + Culture and has over 18 years of leadership experience in the arts and culture sector. He has previously worked for Disney Theatrical Productions (Broadway), Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, NYU, The Field and the Brooklyn Community Pride Center.
