Multimedia fiber artist Bonnie MacAllister has received grants from the City of Philadelphia Department of Commerce, a Fulbright-Hays award (Ethiopia), and numerous teaching artist fellowships. Her embroidered portraits have been the subject of articles by the Huffington Post and WHYY. She has exhibited at the Delaware Art Museum, Woodmere Art Museum, Yellowstone Art Museum, New York Public Library, State Museum of Pennsylvania, the New School for Social Research, and venues in Uruguay, Italy, Norway, and UK, among others.
