Picks: The Head and The Hand Kensington Homestead (author Nic Esposito)
Why: I love short essays and collected stories. I also love vegetables, so it’s a bit of a win-win. Socially, moving forward, it will be increasingly more important to develop sustainable farming practices in urban settings as we’re projected to have 70% of the global population urbanized by 2050.

PicksBeyond the Bell Tours
Why: Beyond the Bell (BTB) continues their years-long work as a top rated tour company (TripAdvisor) who is illuminating the histories of peoples and places oft left out of the story of “Philadelphia.” Check out their LGBTQ History or Badass Women’s History Tour as a gift for the community and equity-minded people in your life - or even as a treat to yourself!

Staff Member: Johnny Gerant
Title: Finance Manager
Picks: Monument Lab: Monument Lab: Creative Speculations for Philadelphia
Why: Monument Lab has made me curious about the thoughts that go into curating art around the city, specifically the thoughts that go into the creation of monuments. I think it would be lovely to start with the creativity in Philadelphia.
