Caroline E. Boyce took the helm as the executive director of the Preservation Alliance in March. Caroline is a skilled executive,preservationist and development professional with a background in planning. She served as Executive Vice President of AIA Pennsylvania, a Society of The American Institute of Architects, from 2002 to 2012.
While there she spearheaded the growth of the organization into a nationally recognized public policy leader. She comes to Alliance with a reputation for strong financial leadership and organizational ability and is known for her successes in nurturing partnerships and coalitions. Caroline is a recipient of Preservation Pennsylvania’s F. Otto Haas Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement in historic preservation in the state.
Prior to AIA PA, Caroline was a founding director of 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania and directed the Office of Statewide Partnerships at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She was also Executive Director of Preservation Pennsylvania for five years. Caroline holds a BA from Connecticut College and an MA in Historic Preservation Planning from Cornell University.
